Rio South Texas Binational Overview Hosted by COSTEP & Mexico Industry

On November 16, 2023, COSTEP the Rio South Texas Binational Overview in collaboration with Mexico Industry. This event brought together economic development organizations across the Rio South Texas Region to present an overview of the competitive advantages of the area to the Consuls of Mexico and the United States.

Economic development representatives from Mission EDC, Weslaco EDC, McAllen EDC, City of Laredo, Brownsville CIC, Harlingen EDC, and Starr County Industrial Foundation provided valuable information on the economic progress achieved in the area and current potential for further investment. The event also offered opportunity for representatives of City of Edinburg, City of Donna, City of Roma, Development Corporation of Mercedes, Hidalgo EDC, Hidalgo County, and Workforce Solutions to get to know the Consuls and introduce their communities to them while providing support for the region and their individual communities.
