The Council for South Texas Economic Progress (COSTEP) recently hosted its first rapid tour of 2025 for Canadian investors aiming to expand their operations into the Rio Grande Valley. Led by CEO Adam González and Director of Economic Development Rick Carrera, the tour provided representatives from the “Project Maple” initiative with comprehensive insights into establishing a presence in South Texas, highlighting potential job creation and future growth opportunities. The event, held at the Texas Southmost College’s International Technology, Education, and Commerce Center, also featured participation from local industry leaders who shared their experiences operating in the region.
