Aerospace Industry in Mexico: COSTEP Featured in Key Regional Conference on Aerospace and Semiconductor Growth

On August 9, 2024, Visionary leaders from across Rio, South Texas, united for a transformative conference focusing on the region’s partnerships and economic growth in the aerospace and semiconductor industries. Hosted by COSTEP, Council for South Texas Economic Progress, and led by CEO Adam Gonzalez, the conference focused on a unified regional strategy to attract high-tech industries. Gonzalez highlighted the importance of breaking down barriers between educational institutions, workforce boards, and municipalities to build the talent pipelines necessary for these sectors.

The conference featured a presentation on leveraging NASA’s resources to advance the aerospace sector in Rio South Texas. Future discussions are planned to focus on enhancing the semiconductor industry, aiming to attract new investments and opportunities. Gonzalez also hinted at future collaborations with NASA and discussed the need for a more robust private industry presence to secure funding and expertise.
